Seven suspected Crypto Hackers were arrested in New Delhi, India, police said on Monday.
The alleged hackers, who are all students, are accused of attempting to compromise weaknesses in blockchain code with a DOS (denial of service) style hack, police said.
New Delhi police made the arrests on April 8th at several apartment blocks in the south of the city. No formal charges were made and all seven men were released with a warning.
“The attempts to hack this sophisticated blockchain code were amateur at best,” a spokesman for the IPS (Indian Police Service) said.
Although not impossible, blockchain technology is extremely hard to compromise, but it is not immune to attack.
